For The Love Of Fabric

This is a quick and simple string pack like you find in sporting goods stores and often see teens carrying. Super lightweight, it can be folded up when you dont need it and pulled out when you are going somewhere and just need to carry a few items and a light jacket. There is a zipper compartment to stow your wallet and phone securely and it can be worn with the zipper against your back or facing out. Simple enough for beginners to sew. 

Materials Required:
Fabric: (42” wide quilting weight cotton-directional prints are OK)
Outer bag: ¾ yard
Lining: 1 yard (use a coordinating print)
Drawstrings: 4½ yds 3/16” cotton clothesline or ¼” cording
Wonder Under Fusible Web 17” wide:: 1½ yds (this is widely available-I do not recommend a substitute)
Nylon zipper -16” or longer (can be trimmed to length)
Large safety pin
Zipper foot for your machine
Matching thread

For ease and efficiency this pattern is intended for rotary cutting.
