For The Love Of Fabric

This is one big Christmas stocking! You can stuff all kinds of goodies in there. I made one of these for my youngest child and my son-in-law and then realized they were getting more loot, so I ended up making one for every family member! The name can be embroidered by hand or machine, glitter-glued or whatever method you like. I include directions for my free-motion embroidery method, which allow you to use any font and size you wish. These are really fun and quick to make. Great for a new grandbaby who has arrived this past year.

Materials:
(2) ½ yards cotton fabric for outer bootie and lining
½ yard Pattern Ease or a piece of tissue paper to trace pattern
½ yard or craft size cotton batting
½ yard white polyester fleece such as Pellon Thermo-Lam for cuff
Felt, thread or other embellishment for lettering
Matching thread
